Just wondering about my RSP 1068...

Here's my story and I'm sticking to it.....
A couple of winters ago,my 1068 got hit with a jolt of static electricty.
It knocked out all my settings...later I found out the unit could not be turned on or off manually, using the standby button.Fortunatly, the remote control on/off button still worked....and over the last two years I have learned to live with it,not wanting to send the unit out for repairs.
The other day,I was moving my audio cabinet...and accidently hit a button on the front of the processor. The unit came on...I turned it off,and pressed CD on the front of the 1068.The unit came on....I tried all the other device buttons and each one turned the unit on.
So,my question is...do all 1068s have the ability to turn on that way?
I have seen nothing in the manual that relates to this.
    I don't mind...as this is a bonus,actually....just curious.

My RSX-1056 does, so I would bet its the norm.

I turn my RSP-1068 "on" all the time by pushing a source button. Resperc

Something odd occurred while setting up my 1068 I picked up the other day.

First off - I run my HDTV signal directly to a Pioneer Elite Pro-510HD (2 component video ins available).

My DVD, XBOX, and PS2 run through the 1068 and back out to the second component in on the...

          1068 changing audio modes
          by talannar
I've had my 1068 for about 2 months now. I have my DVR/Cable box plugged into coax 1 and video 1 (component). Since I only have 2 speakers at the moment, I had the 1068 set up for PCM 2ch default. Everything was working well.

Just 10 minutes ago I accidently hit the Tuner button on...

          Power button, settings, RSX-1055
          by Glenn
I have temporarily set-up my new RSX-1055 to make sure all is working correctly. It has the latest firmware.

The current set-up is 2 channel. Just the basics for right now. I went into the set-up menu and changed the front main channels to "large". I set all the rest to "none"....

Help needed for a novice please!! I have had my RSP-1068 for a year and love it. I have been using a standard DVD player and have connected my audio via a coaxial cable. 1068 Volume Issue
          by ajpoe
I've had my 1068 for a few months now and all of a sudden my volume is going crazy. It keeps jumping up really high even after I take my finger off the volume button and the same going down. I know the update made the volume go a lot faster, and I am used to that change.... that's not whats happening....
