    1068 upgrade Help!

    HELP Anybody

I'm stuck at download binary file duriring my upgrade.
I'm trying to do PLIIx upgrade. Up to the part instruction # 16 where it says "select look in to find software file downloaded from the website"

My PC can't open or download .bin file. I am running windows XP.

Any suggestions on how to get the software from the website onto my PC

Don't want to shut it down at this point. I probably already erased exiting software.

Go to the aforemetioned URL and save the downloaded bin file to your PC. Once you have completed the download point to the file path where you have downloaded the software (I usually put mine on the desktop, so it's easy to find), don't try to do if from the server. http://rotel.com/support/techups/techup-H21.htm

    Hope this helps,

Did what you suggested. Software update is updating now however instructions say 3 lines of periods and upgrade should be complete. I am now up to 5 lines now and still going. Is this a problem?

Probably not if your hyperterminal window isn't maximized

That certainly doesn't seem correct, but if the upgrade is completed, as Andrew stated, the Hyperterminal window was not maximized.

Now, return the two dip switches to the off position, replace the cover, and the 1068 should power up normally.

Hold down the mute button for appoximately 4-5 seconds, it should reveal the new software version.

Hopefully, everthing is fine, now it's time to relax and enjoy the sounds. You may want to recalibrate your speakers, I seemed to have minor adjustments after the upgrade.

            Regards,

            Azeke
