Strange.. When it happens, can you the center level up and get some of it back? You can do it from the remote (hit 'C' and use the +/-).

Is it a drastic drop, are just slightly?

I had/have a similar problem on my RSP1068. My problem is on the left main channel. I got suspicious and opened the unit and found that the output board with all the preout connectors on is full of cracks(specifically the fiberglass board. After reseating it works for a while but in time, i suspect as resistance on the cracks build up so the problem returns, usually over a few weeks. Im quite dissapointed by the poor quality of the board and the insufficient number of securing screws on the board which allows flex

Try reseating the cable on the preamp side , however be very carfull when doing this(moving the rca connector from side to side is a no no) as i noticed the board is very poorly secured and this explains all the cracks.

My problem is how to get the unit sent in and checked and fixed as its still under warrenty , but not to arouse suspicion about it being opened. Ps im not an electronics novice, having been in the industry for the last 13 years.

The 1068 does get hot, hotter then some amps. How much air space do you have around it and above it? Does the problem seem to happen the longer it's used at a time?

              Problem with Thriller 25th aniversary
              by Xavier
My CDP 300 shows a problem while playing the Thriller track of the newest 25th aniversary disk. About to the point if the rap and until the end of the music, the treble enters into complete distorsion, as if the sound cracks in a hiss effect. I've played it in another system without any problem. I changed...

              Abit AT7 KT333 Board
              by Bing Fung

I'm not sure what to quite think of the new ABit Max boards :? :?: Certainly I have been anticipating the new KT333 from Abit, however this one is far removed from what I would have expected. Abit has always stayed away from integration on their flagship boards, yet...

Parasound Halo A51 5th Channel Problem.
              by mitch57
Well it looks like my Halo A51 Amp's 5th channel is on it's way out. I started noticing the the 5th channel, which is the surround right channel, didn't seem to have much of a signal. I first noticed it while listening to DVD-A and multi channel SACDs. It just didn't seem like I was hearing much...

Power supply for Lexicon MC-12 board level repair.
              by Lex
I pulled a power supply out of Lexicon MC-12 tonight. I have an email in to see if they will reasonably repair it or replace it, none of this 7-800 crap. If they won't, can anyone do board level repairs? As in replace the components that are bad. I know it can be done, I just don't know anyone that...
