I replaced my RDV-1060 for the DV-9600...so I only can tell you my experience with the latter. Very good, solid player with a whole lot of functionality like e.g. video upscaling (up to 1080p). Works perfectly with my 1098, 1075, 1080;-)

What's the difference in price between both players?

Marantz Dv9600 around $ 2,000 and change dollars. Don't know the price of the Rotel though??

Marantz 9600 is actually $2,100 dollars and the Rotel 1060 is $ 850 dollars.

Which is better though ,and what are the difference between both comparing DACs of both the Video and the Audio part of it??????
