Hello group,
My amp that I was using to get me by until the new 1068 version comes out later in the year...has a dead left channel...forcing my upgrade issue.
(looked for a blown fuse, but not it)
I had heard 604's blowing amps...and kept the volume at most 25%, what do you expect from a old crappy amp with 95 Sony watts per channel.
Well I'm sold on the 1077 regardless.
I really could use the HDMI switching for my projector, so I dont have to run multiple cables to it... therefore considering the 1057.
Sonically I'm aware the 1068 is the best buy.
The real question since I'm a somewhat newb in the area... is how will I be interconnecting the 1057 +1077 to the speakers. I was planning to bi-amp my fronts with the extra channels of the 1077 and I'm not quite sure how that is properly done when the feed from the 1057 is amped already. Will I be able to utilize all my amped channels?
If not... I guess the 1068 + 1077 would make clean sense.
Thanks as always.
Nikos
