    12V triggers connection

During last month I have bought following components: RSP 1098 (3 x12V trigger + zone2), RMB1095 (one in and one out) driving center, two surrounds and two surround backs, RB 1080 (one in and one out) driving fronts, RT 1080 (one in and one out), RDV 1060 (one in) and RCD1072 (one in). How to connect 12V triggers best way?

Well, it depends on your listening habits, but let's say that you want surround for DVD, and use stereo for listening to radio and CD's.
For DVD, both amps will need to be on together with the DVD player.
But for stereo, only the 1080 should be on.
So put DVD and the RMB1095 on trigger1 (loop the DVD through the amp), put the RB1080 on trigger2, and the tuner and CD on trigger3.
If you select DVD, activate triggers 1 and 2.
For CD or Tuner, activate triggers 2 and 3.
This is the way i'd do it, unless you can use the zone2 trigger too, then you could put the CD on trigger3 and the Tuner on zone2 so you can turn them on separately.
Otherwise the tuner and CD will always be on at the same time, but i don't think that would be a problem at all.

      RSP 1098 12v trigger problem
      by Henk
I use two 12v triggers on my RSP 1098, one triggers a RLC-1050 power distributor (which in turn powers on a RB-1090) while the other triggers a RMB-1075. Everything worked fine until a few weeks ago when the RSP 1098 started to interrupt the 12v trigger to both components at random after power on. When...

      12v trigger question

I know there have been several threads on 12v trigger issues, so I hope you will indulge me. I have an Onkyo receiver with pre-outs and 12v triggers for 2 additional zones. I am using an old 5-channel receiver to power those 2 zones, and have dedicated 2 channels per zone. The old received lacks a 12v...

Hi All, my first post! I'm a long time Rotel fan
I have 2 RB1091 amps which I got a deal on from my local dealer several years ago. At the time he said the 12v triggers weren't working. At the time this wasn't a problem for me. However since upgrading my system late last year I now want to...

      12v Triggered Surrounds
      by Lindahl
A video processor I received after my last company shut down has two 12v triggers. As a software engineer, I can program these (and the video processor) however I want. I was thinking about making some multiway surrounds that can be switched using these triggers from a remote control, similar to these...
