I have an Arcam CD72T and use the analog out to the RSP-1066 CD L/R input. I make sure to select 2CH mode since my understanding is that selects analog bypass. The front speakers are set to Large in the Rotel settings.
A friend mentioned that the best analog sound will be achieved by connecting the CD L/R output to Front L/R of the multichannel inputs. I don't use DVD-AUDIO or SACD so these inputs are available.
Has anyone compared the CD versus multichannel inputs for sound quality? Does Rotel use better components on one or the other?
Thanks in advance.
