Wattage is not only used for volume. The RF7s will drop to 2 ohms and without a powerhouse amp you will not be getting everything they can offer out of them.
I have run several amps into my RF7s. A 150 watt NAD - weak. The RMB 1095 - pretty good but soft bass with no transient punch. 1090 - really nice with warm highs. McCormack DNA 500 - deep base with crystal clear highs etc etc etc.
Do a search for RF7 and 1090. There are probably many posts in quite a few forums with info.- Bottom
