    What is Rotel RB-03 like?

My humble secondary setup needs a 2-channel amp and it could be either an integrated or a poweramp in which case I'd use my Corda Prehead as the pre-amp. One of the poweramps I could find 2nd hand nearby is a Rotel RB-03. For some reason I can't find much info on it anywhere. What's it like and would you recommend it? The speakers are 8-Ohm B&W 570s from stone age.

Thanks, bb. I had actually found those Audioreview comments but wanted to hear more comments. Searching this forum didn't show many posts either and most of the posts only mentioned the amp briefly. Has anyone got 1st hand experience?

I have an RB-03 that I converted to bridged mode, that was driving the centre speaker. I have since upgraded to a 1095, so boxed it up and put it in storage.

        Nice little amp.

Mike, all you need to do is swap 2 or 3 jumper over and it converts to bridged mode.

Its all explaned in the manual.

                      RB03 with RC03

My father recently invested in the RC03\RB03 combo (I have the RC1070/RB1070 combo) for stereo use only.

Don't care what anyone says, but it is a really good combination. The amp is driving a pair of Boston Acoustic VR1 speakers. The speakers are rated at 150W@8ohm. The RB03 delivers 70W/ch, but it commanded those Bostons with ease.

Our living room is rather larger (10m x 8m) with a wooden "pyramidic" roof. Acoustically, the room enhanced the sound for the better. The bass was tight and well directed. The volume was kept at the 11-12 o'clock position regularly for long periods and the amp performed well out the box.

The RB03 is much, much better than: "...nice little amp..."
                      Regards :T,

                      Boom....a.k.a...."The Box"

                        Hi Rotelians,

as you already know from my profile, I run a 1055 with four huge IQ System300T and a big Boston Center VR14 from the THX series. As I like to wish to deactivate the center in 5 Channel stereo easiliy and wish to give my RSX 1055 power supply more power for the IQ's, I would...

OK 1068 arrives Friday i've got a few choices for power amps, not sure what to go for. Any comments / advice would be appreciated.

I've got B&W Spekers. CDM 7NTs at the front with the CDM NT Centre. Rears are just baby 600 series speakers.

                        RA03 vs RC03/RB03 combo
                        by Boombox
I know the RA03 won quite a few awards...

But which is a better option, the RA03 integrated amp or seperates (RC03/RB03)...both offer 70W/ch and equal amount of line-level inputs...

                        Hey gang,

Thought I'd throw some comments out, maybe spur a discussion. I started putting together a surround sound system earlier this year....added a set of maple B&W 704 (fronts) and HTM7 center to an older pair of ADS L570's (backs) to get myself started.

                        Well,...

                        I need a reality check...do I have something here or am I a nut?

I want to (primarily) enhance the music experience of my DIY 3- ways.
I figure I can disguise a pair of 3.5 cu ft sonosubs as tables very much like the ones we have already in these pictures.

                        I'm excited...
