Got it back on Friday and everything seems ok now, I wanted to let everone know that doing the Eprom update and having it cough, took out the digital board on the 1098. so be careful everyone.

I was not able to use the EPROM update program despite my com ports working fine due to a conflict with Microsoft Activesync software used for Pocket PC's. The EPROM program gives the error message "failure to initialize com port".

I got a RSP 1098 that have the typical loss of signal via optical , no relay sounds when I change sound mode. I also have no sound if stereo/bypass. I had it once at service but they sent it back "all ok "

I bought a broke RSP 1098 in may and had sent it to a authorised service shop her ein Norway in the beginning of june. After a LONG time there the service techinicion ordred a eprom from the Norwegian Rotel dealer. that was in july, 27th og july to be more excact he has not recieved any parts... -
