Does Rotel make a rackmount kit for the 1065 or do I need to just stick it on a shelf?

I don't think rotel has a rack mount kit available for any of the 10 series components.

Middle Atlantic makes a nice custom rackshelf for the RSX-1065. It retails for $151.25 US, but can be ordered from R.S. Engineering & Mfg. for $94.45 US.
The specific Middle Atlantic part number is: RSH4A5X-ROTEL RSX 1065.

Rob Schultz at RSEM is about the cheapest I have found for Middle Atlantic rack parts and his turn around time is quick, too.

Like the RSP-1066/RSX-1055 the RSX-1065 also has some point that need to be enhanced or fixed.
The RSX-1065 has some flaws in decoding the sound format.
1) There seemes to be no difference in normal DD5.1 and DD5.1 EX sound. With both formats the RSX-1065 uses the CB speakers.... -

I just bought a 1065 to form the backbone of my new and first HT. I have an older Acurus A250 2 channel amp that I intended to use for the two front main speakers, thus freeing up the 5 1065 internal channels for the center...
