RSX 1055 and 1070 amp combo suddenly louder..?

    RSX 1055 and 1070 amp combo suddenly louder..?

    This is kinda weird,wondering if anyone else has experienced any thing like this.System is a 1055 reciever approx 1.5 months old, and a 1070 amp for the front channels,about 5 months old.Noticed yesterday that I have had to turn down the normal TV/ Satt viewing volumn about 5 to 6 #'s.Nothing has changed in my system,and no settings are changed.
    Some type of weird breakin issue???my ears changed??? Or I'm just nuts... :?

      probably break in.. i had to recalibrate my speakers tonight and ive had my receiver for a few months now...
      I'm just sittin here watchin the wheels go round and round...

          I agree this is a part of the break-in process. This will probably occur for the next few months depending on your usage, and you may have to tweak your settings, but isn't this what HT is all about ?

              I agree, it's probably just break-in. However keep in mind that audio levels on TV channels are hardly stationary. Have any of your other sources also gotten louder?

                  I am strongly considering Rotel for my new HT setup due to the numerous positive reviews I read about it. Currently, my plan is to run Paradigm Studio 60 fronts, Studio CC and Studio ADP surrounds using either a Rotel 1066 + 1075 set-up or a 1055 set-up in a 25’ x 20’ room.

                  I picked up an RCD-1070 earlier this week and I have to say I love it. But I can't help but wonder why not for the same price, go ahead and get the RCC-1055 5 disk changer? They both appear to have the same DACs, simmilar power supplies, and good Rotel build quality. The 1055 actually has an IR repeater...
