    1098 and stereo

    hi, i 'm thinking in buying a 1098+1075, i would like your comments about the performance of 1098 in stereo.
    My usage of Amp is 70% stereo, 20% music multi chanel and 10% movies.

      That's the exact set up I'm using and its fantastic in stereo. The DAC's in the 1098 are pretty good but a dedicated CD player is a must if top tier 2 channel sound is what you're after. I had the 1055 acting as a pre amp prior to the 1098 and while it was good the 1098 is significantly better

          Hi,

          I have the same setup as well and I agree with Andrew. The 1098 is excellent. Better than my old 1066. Actually I am listening to the Metallica DVD-A disk in stereo format as I am writing this and it is just fantastic . Huge soundstage. I don't think you would be disappointed in its sound.

              I have the RSP-1098 & RMB-1095 (no buzz), with a Rotel RD-1070, when run in stereo mode, there is only one word they can describe it, sweeeet.

              The source material must also be considered.
