    RDV-1050 and horisontal picture alignment

I guess everything is ok with my player, but there is one annoying thing about it.

It seems that it does not center the displayed image on my TV. The Rotel and No disc logo is a couple of inches to the right. The same with the players menus as well. What I am worried about is that this might be the same when watching movies as well. I use 16:9 (non auto) and a 16:9 TV set. Would the 16:9 (auto) change things for me?

On both my previous Philips players horisontal alignment/shift was adjustable but I have not found it on the Rotel.

Is there anyway to make the displayed image appear a bit more to the left (so that it is centered)? Either via the regular menys or via a service meny if there is such a meny?

I would really not prefer to take it back since this is my second unit and I had to wait a month for it. (The first one had a defective RGB colour output.)

    Thanks for your time
    Andreas

RDV1050 and problem with "spikes" on the 220v
    by miagi
I´m having a VERY annoing problem using the RDV1050 DVD. -Whenever I (or my neighbour for that matter) switch the light on/off in my/his apartment (or my refrigiator turns on/off), the sound dissapear shortly, as if the RDV1050 loses sync (Via coax) to the RSP1068... it does not affect the picture...

How many of you are using the subwoofer distance that Auto-Cal provides?
    by Kingdaddy
I thought I would start a separate thread on this subject as I’ve seen a lot of questioning about many processors that have the Auto-Calibrate feature, not just the Halo. Most are questioning the accuracy and manually inserting the measurement based on a physical measurement, because the auto-cal...

Auto-Eq – Boon or bane to home theater?
    by TommyV
Not sure if this has been posted but I got this in my email box. I thought it was an interesting read.

"At Rotel, we have been asked many times why our audio/video receivers don’t feature an Auto-Eq set up. The short answer is that while these devices do change the sonic characteristics,...

C2 question on auto-distance calibration for subwoofer
    by jewel
    Hi,

I'm trying to use the auto-distance calibration on C2 to set the subwoofer distance. The measured distance is 3.3m, but the auto-calib sets it to 6.7m. Should I use the actual distance or the auto-calib distance?

Also, the auto-calib distances are different if I change...

    C2 Auto Calibration..not so precise
    by rocasi
I updated my C2 firmware yesterday and decided to run the auto calibrate feature rather than use a sound meter method. After auto calibrating, began to listen to some of my favorite vocalists, and found I had lost all imaging on my speakers. After double checking everything, I looked at the auto calibrated...
