what is the difference in these two models? do they have a 12 volt trigger? what was the original retail price?

I think the only differences are:

The 985mkII has 10 more watts/channel, a 12 volt trigger, and the faceplate has the heatsinks.

      Sonically.............. totally zip differences.

MKI is marginally cheaper on the used market

        well, I own a MKII

but as far as I know the 985MkII has no 12Vtrigger.
Perhaps a difference with the European model.

I will check downstairs in a minute.

Furthermore the 985 looks like the 10 series, wich is important to me.

Cool, a reply to myself.....

But anyway, no remote trigger on the MKII

          5 x RCA input
          DB-25 Input
          5 x speaker output
          And a removable (yeah!!) powercord.

          thats it.

              RSP-1068 12 volt trigger confusion
              by BillGee
I picked up my brand new RSP-1068 Saturday, replacing an old RTC-970. In the process of hooking everything up, i discovered there are no power outlets on the back of the 1068, so I had no way to trigger my RLC-900 to turn on/off. A quick trip to Radio Shack and 15 minutes with a soldering iron got...

              Using 12 volt trigger
              by BeeBop
I have an external amp I would like to use with my RX1050 stereo receiver - using the RX1050 as a pre-amp. I am using the pre-out to connect it to the amp and it is working well. However I cannot get the 12 volt trigger to work. Does anyone know what sort of plug the 12 volt trigger out requires? My...

              12 Volt trigger Rotel 1098 -> Pioneer DV 45A
              by HibbardSmith
I'd like to use a 12 v trigger from my Rotel 1098 to a Pioneer DV-45A Elite DVD Player. I can't find any information about Pioneers trigger in. Is this some Pioneer proprietary thing or is it 12 Volt trigger compatible?

I wasn't sure where to post this, but it's really not a Rotel question....

              12 volt trigger query
              by cameronl
              hi there all

I'm having some trouble configuring my 12 volt trigger. I want it to drop my pj screen when either the tv or httpc source is selected. I don't want this to happen if the balanced cd is selected.

It seems though, that the 12volt trigger can only select...
