    RDV-1050 Region Free in Canada?

    Hi,

I'm thinking of buyng RDV-1050 but are worried that they might not be region free. So is there anyone here from Canada who has a RDV-1050 who can tell me if it's region free or not?

All region 1 players are not region free (That's North America). You get the same shipments we do.

      Is that really necesarilly so?

I know from my own experience that the Swedish distributor makes all Rotel DVD players region free even though they are still labelled Region 2.

Maybe the Canadian distributor does the same or can have the same service done?

If you want to be sure, order a RDV-1050E from Sweden (220v unit) and get it region free with a Euro/Scart connector too.
