    RB1080 replacement

Does anyone know if the 3x same failure is an automatic free replacement or is at Rotel"s discression? If different things caused my left channel to blow then is this considered a 3 time failure?

Replacement is always at Rotel's discression. Three time failure just makes it more likely they will replace it.

Sounds like you need the Cap/Resistor/Fuse upgrade done, my first unit had blown left channel fuse 3 times over only a few months, on the 3rd time the local dealer replaced it with a new unit saving me the time and hassel of shipping it for repair. However a couple of months later I had the same problem (4th time) but on the second unit, after that the distributor replaced the 2nd unit with a 3rd new RB-1080, however this time they did the upgrade and I haven't had a problem since.

If you have not had the upgrade through any of the earlier repairs I would be pushing for a new RB-1080 with the upgrade. You shouldn't have a problem from then on.

        yes indeed

Looking at my prior service records, neither repair went all the way. The 1st did the 6.3a fuse, the 2nd 8a and a cap. Hopefully the 3rd will be the whole upgrade and the lucky winner.......

          1068 issues/bad unit?
          by ajpoe
OK, i'm very frustrated... i set up my 1068 and don't feel that it made that much of a difference, if any, over using my onkyo receiver as the processer with my 1075. I was expecting it to blow me away... on top of that, i now have buzzing coming from all channels that i didn't have with the onkyo....

          RA-01 Blown Fuse
          by ryewoods
I blew a fuse in my Rotel RA-01 the other day. Being that I got the amp as a graduation present and of course the person who gave it to me no longer has the receipt, I decided to try and fix it myself. Today I opened it up and found the bad fuse. On it, it reads "T4L 250V." Does that mean...
