My current setu-up is Yamaha A/V receiver HTR-5560 and Infiniti Reference 2000 series speakers. I'm not happy anymore with my current set-up and I feel I'm missing something. I have $1500 budget and I want to go to higher end system. Should I start with Rotel 1056 or B&W 600 series?

and go for 1068/1075
the combination sound good with many brands of speakers -
I agree with lvhung that in your case, the better components will probably make the most difference. But are you willing to upgrade the speakers eventually too? If so, you might consider skipping to the B&W 700s or even the 800s eventually.Comment

Hi, everyone I just got my 600s almost 2 weeks ago, and am thinking about exchanging the 600s for 602s. I can then put the 602s in front to match the LCR600 better and keep my 601s that I have as fronts right now and then use them for surrounds. The price difference would only be about $300. The... -
Like the RSP-1066/RSX-1055 the RSX-1065 also has some point that need to be enhanced or fixed.
The RSX-1065 has some flaws in decoding the sound format.
1) There seemes to be no difference in normal DD5.1 and DD5.1 EX sound. With both formats the RSX-1065 uses the CB speakers.... -

I am seriously considering the purchase of a Rotel 1065 receiver, and have been reviewing the posts on this forum. I note that there is a lot of info on the 1066+Amp, and 1055, but relatively little on the 1065. I will be using it with B&W N804, N805, and HTM2.

How in the world can this happen. I leave for work at about 7:30 am and leave the plasma and 1065 on so my wife can watch tv during the day. Long story, but I havent got the ir system working yet, so I cant teach her to turn everything on and off yet.
So anyway, I come home from work...
