I am the owner of the mentioned integrated amplifier and I have have used it for several years without any problems. Lately the amplifier has begun to switch off without any reason. When doing so it sounds like the stand-by relay is switching and it is not possible to turn the amplifier on again. When pressing the stand-by button - to turn the amplifier on again - the diodes displaying input and output emit light, but that is all - no sound, no power for tuner etc. and no "click".
When the amplifier has been turned on for a while (1 hour maybe), there is no problem and the amplifier stays turned on.
Sometimes I am not even able to turn my amplifier on, but the problem is the same as after it has turned off itself.
On time I accidently dropped a tennis ball on the amplifier (DO'H!) and the amplifer responded with a "click" and turned on. After this incident I learned that I can "turn on" the amplifier by a small rap on the side of it. But of course this is not the solution
)
Can anyone help me on what to do? It is pretty annoying really...

I just wanted to hear from other people who have experienced this kind of behavior with Rotel units with stand-by relays before I'll bring it to the store...
