Parasound introduces new Halo JC1+ monoblock power amplifier

Replacing the original John Curl-designed JC1, which was chosen as a “Category A Recommended Component” for 15 years by Stereophile’s editorial staff, Parasound has just introduced the JC1+ monoblock power amplifier, which was also designed by John Curl. It has refined specifications with more power, enhanced internal features and external connections. Price per monoblock at authorized dealers is reportedly just under $8,500 USD. (Two would be required for a two channel music system.)

    From the Parasound site:

2 Preamps into 1 Power Amp only
      by jorgjean
I consider buying a Benchmark DAC 1 and feed it straight into my Rotel RMB-1075. I have already hooked up the Soundprocessor, so there is no input left on the Power Amp side.

Is it possible to feed 2 Cinch Cables into the same Cinch In of the Power Amp?

      Rotel Audio/Video Power Conditioners

There are so many opinions and IMO lack of knowladge (including myself) when i comes to surge protection and line conditioners. I have a couple of questions about Rotels.

I recently sold my Richard Grey because it did not do what I needed. In the end I did't expect to much from it because...

Exploring Common DIY Terminology - Power Compression

      Power Compression

Power compression is a phenomenon that occurs when the voice coil and other components of a loudspeaker driver heat up due to increased power input. As the voice coil temperature rises, its resistance also increases, leading to a decrease in the electrical power converted into acoustic output. This reduction in acoustic output for a given electrical power input is known as power compression. The concept of power compression is essential to understand because it can...
