I'm having a tough time finding a quality crossover to filter the full range line-level signal from my receiver's pre-outs prior to running them through a separate 2-channel amp (NAD C370) to power the 2nd set of subwoofer voice coils on my Gallo Reference 3's. Guess I'll just have to wait for the Gallo SA to be released.
In the meantime, would it be possible to loop the RSX-1067's LFE-outs to an unused input on the unit, then select that input for the Zone channels, and then connect the Zone speaker outputs to the terminals for the 2nd subvoofer voice coils of the Ref3's (after setting the Zone channels' output to full-range)? The LFE-out can be set to cross over at 40Hz, which (I've read) is the generally recommended frequency for powering the 2nd set of subwoofer voice coils. Being a newbie, I'm concerned that this setup might cause internal feedback, or worse, some sort of short circuit that will damage the RSX-1067. Has anyone tried this yet?
Thanks in advance.
