    Bridging a RB-1070

Has anyone here bridged a RB-1070 amp (130W X2 / 330W X1)? I am interested in feedback before I pursue this option (2 RB-1070 - one for each channel). Thanks.

I wouldn't recommend bridging amps personally. Problems with resistance, added noise etc... I don't even know if it's bridgable

I believe the specs on the Rotel website states that it's bridgable. I thought about using one to bi amp a center channel. I believe the post is still in the archive somewhere.

        Bi-amp, yes. Bridge, no.

Bi-amping meaing using one amp for mids & highs & one amp for bass? If so, how would I hook outputs from Preamp (RC-1070)? I believe I have 2 left & right outs on my pre. Thanks. ;x(

              RB1070 - bridging for 300+ watts
              by AudioHed
I'm considering getting another RB1070 amp and bridging the two for mono amplification. Can anyone comment on whether or not this would be a good idea. I have B&W CDM9's.

Has anyone done this or heard a configuration like this with bridged RB1070's???

              Bridged RB1070 for HTM3S?
              by gc8ej25
The recommended power for the HTM3S is 50-250W and I have an RB1070 available to power it. In bridged mode, this amp puts out 330W at 8 ohms. Is this overkill or damaging for the speaker if the levels are within reason? Thanks in advance, guys.

              RB1070 V's RB1080 any diff
              by bleeding ears
              Hi all,

Can anyone tell me the difference soundwise between the RB1070 and the RB1080?

At nearly double the price, does the RB1080 sound any better than the RB1070? (RB1080 = $1600 V's RB1070 =$900) Thats recommended full retail prices in Australia.

Ivhung is motivating me to ask this question. I am currently driving Boston VR2 (bi-wired @ 4ohm) with RC1070/RB1070 pair with Boston PV500 sub using the secong line-level outs of the pre-amp. It KILLS!!
