I doubt it, for this year, maybe next year though, but this is purely speculative.

I agree it will probably be at least another year. A lot depends on what happens with new formats. No real movement in any direction yet by any manufacturer due to the uncertain future of BluRay and HD DVD. HDMI isn't a must have for most people since half the monitor/pj makers still use either component or DVI. I for one finally have a 1098 that works 100%, and I want to enjoy it for awhile.Jerry RappaportComment

My RSP-1098 + (RMB-1075 + RB-1070 power amps) are still going after 11 years. I am starting to look around for a replacement for the RSP-1098. The logical choice would be the RSP-1572. For anyone who has done this upgrade would anyone care to comment on the sound quality of these two... -
I'm having a video problem with the RSP1098. I'm trying to figure out whether there is something wrong with the 1098, some incompatibility with my plasma monitor, or some bad mojo in my house. All ideas or experience with similar set-ups would be greatly appreciated.

The Rotel web site is updated to include the 1066 replacement, the 1068. They also have the 1068 manual online. Is anyone going to be attending the Cedia show that opened today? There have been rumours for months that this is the show that Rotel will unveil a replacement to the RSP-1098.

Now that the new HD DVD players are coming out, will Rotel offer a replacement module for the HDMI inputs? I know that a new model is coming out late this year, but is that not why Rotel made the modular back plate? For upgradability??
