yeah...saw that. It's an odd ad.
He's owned several high end cd players recently, the 1070 was the best of them, but he didn't like it, so he's selling the 1072 without even opening the box and giving it a listen.
Does that make ANY sense to anyone?

Found some info on the new cd player.
Its from a german site called http://www.gute-anlage.de (translates into www.good-system.de), which is a site from the german distributor I think. They have the RCD1072 listed at 899 euro with the following text:

I was in a hi-fi store the other day, and mentioned that I had the Rotel RCD-1072 CD player. The sales dude then mentioned that I "did not have Rotel's top of the range cd player", and proudly pointed to a RCD-02 CD player in the corner.

Hi all,
Could anyone tell me the difference, if any, when playing a CD on the RDV1060 compared to the RCD1072. I was enquiring about the RCD1072 and the salesman advised me to rather go with the RDV 1060.
Any comments will be appreciated.

The RCD 1072 running through Rotel equipment sounds fantastic, wonderful. Have a question, I'm running vintage equipment:

I realize that ultimately I'll have to test drive it...
