just purchased a 1055 and love it. The info from this site helped alot. I have studio 40's with matching center and dipoles on the side. I also have matching in walls for a rear 7.1. My old receiver is a best buy yamaha that has 6CH input for external decoder. Can I somehow use this to run the rears until I get that 1075 or 1095?

Yes all you'd need to do is run a pair of interconnects from the 1055's centre back pre out's to the yamaha's inputs (you can use any device input if you prefer (like CD or DVD etc). You'd then simply run speaker cable from the yamaha to the back speakers and set the volume on the yamaha receiver to a moderate level...then adjust the rear volume with the test tones in the 1055.

I would be able to get a nice 200 watt two-channel...-

by nick.hSo can the jap yamaha 2600 run the 803s/805s? How much power is enough.
Surely 100watts and higher would be fine for any speaker.-

by MCHGiven our HT situation, which a/v receiver would you recommend: the RSX-1055 ($799) or Yamaha RX-V1400 (approx. $550):
