    Processor Digital Lock

I was reading Goeffs excellent 1098/1068/1067 wish List, and noticed 'extended digital lock'. All I can say is YES PLEASE!

I suffer lots of relay clicking and lost audio while changing TV channels, between DVD menu loops, and even on a DVD layer change. Apparently, if the digital signal is lost, it switches over to the analog inputs. Why? I was going to ask how to stop this happening, but I see you can't!

So Rotel, please, please address this in a firmware update - its as annoying as can be - and was not an issue on my previous equipment. (Goeffs other suggestions are pretty cool too).

I think that on some processers, like the B&K models, there is a parameter where you can choose how long the unit should wait, before it changes the signal. For instance, you can tell the unit to wait for, say, 5 seconds (I'm making this time value up), before it would change to analog if it temporarily loses the digital signal. The idea is that most likely the digital signal would be locked back in again before a full 5 seconds expires, and so the unit would end up staying in digital mode all the way through, seamlessly.

I agree, it would be kind of nice if Rotel had this or a similar feature too...

This occurs from my dvd player DENON 2910 with either digital coaxial or optical inputs and with cable box SA 8300 with coaxial input. i've check settings...

Digital Sticky on the AVR 507 S2
      by wca156
I recently had my AVR 507 S2 installed and my cable's digital stations signal had a tendency to lose contact with the receiver. The receiver would then attempt to find an analog signal and I would lose sound and sometime the picture for a few seconds. This would happen 10 to 20 time during a typical...

Digital Audio Output from Desktops and Laptops
      by Chris D
I'm interested in outputting digital audio from computers, for the purpose of sending a Dolby Digital and/or DTS signal on say, a DVD playing on the computer, to a surround sound theater setup.

For desktops, it's fairly straightforward. Either it has a dedicated digital output, or a port...

      Handling 2-channel digital using RSP-1068
      by hired goon
      G'day,

I've got a RSP-1068 pre-processor, and I'm sending it a stereo signal via digital. When I hit the "2-channel" button, the analog audio goes to L, R and the sub. Is there any way I can get a stereo digital signal to go to the L and R speakers only, without any sub crossover?...
