    Small windfall => next step

Had a small windfall (I know, gotta love them )! Time to take another step towards my final system: a matching Rotel tuner. Choices are limited, comming down to either the RT-02 or the RT-1080.

Reading other threads I found out both tuners get positive feedback (the RT-02 a little disappointing with rock?). Aesthetically I ought to get the RT-1080. However I have never actually seen an RT-02 added to a 10-series system...(stores displaying both series are rather scarse here...)

Now I know there are at least a few people out here who have this combination (june, Mitchell, Aussie Geoff and probably more). I'd very much like to see a picture of this combination (preferably silver / bi-color)... So don't be shy people and please post some :T

    Thanx in advance!

ps: slow connection speed prevented me from browsing through 15 pages of pictures in the "Pictures of your Rotel Set-up" thread.

Just had a small windfall of my own. He He. Talked to my dealer. He said he could do $450 for the 1080. The RT-02 was $300. I might be able to get it for $275. I have the RSP-1068, so i really wanted the RT-1080 because it matches. I went to audiogon and found a black one for $300 shipped. I am really excited. I will have to re-build my audio cabinet to accomidate it. So it will be awhile before I get to some pics.

Do you get DAB in the Netherlands because Rotel are working on a DAB capable tuner apparently. I suspect it would be at the top of the 10 series - an upgrade to the 1080.

Obviously if you don't get DAB or are not interested in it then disregard that statement.

I have been using the RT-1080 for a little while now, and wow, what a great tuner. I wasn't expecting much from a tuner, but this unit pulls in stations crystal clear and sounds wonderful.

        Very good purchase.

          RT1080 Tuner Question

Running the RT1080 with a 1068 and have everything working great except the "RDS and RDBS Reception" information. The manual states that by hitting display repeatedly, one should be able to set what is displayed on the 1080. I simply want the Standard (choice 1) Frequency Display but it...

Need beta testers for computer user interface to control: RT1080, RSP1068, RSP1066

          Hi Folks,

Seems like a pretty big following here for Rotel.

If you've always wanted to control your equipment from your computer/graphic user interface, touchscreen or tablet pc, but thought it was cost prohibitive, think again.

We've got a free plugin available...

          rt1080 computer control program BETA

As some of you know I just bought a RT-1080 tuner. I received it friday and have been working on a program to control it and view it. So far I have gotten the text from the display screen working pretty well. You see just what you see on the actual unit but there are a few bugs.

This design came together quick once I got to the point of selecting drivers. I spent several months reading and learning how to design xovers, here and over at PE Tech-Talk.

I had thought about using many drivers and many configurations but couldn't resolve (in my own mind) various...

The ultimate small speaker - final design critique/improvement
          by bcodemz
Hi everyone. I'd like to get some feedback for a design that has been in the making for a year or so now. The goal is to design the very finest small speaker with the challenge to pack as much performance into a speaker that physically looks small, which I determined to be a wide but short speaker like...
