    Rear channel trouble.....

My RSP-1068 seems to have trouble with the rear right channel in surround modes. The volume level has seem to drop way off during surround play and test tone's. I have move the cables and confirmed it isn't the amp but am perplexed as to what it could be. I also did a reset of factory default settings to at least start from new, but no joy. Any input would greatly help.

you did swap the right for left channels at the output of the 1068? Are you running rear centers (7.x) or just surrounds (5.x) ?

Yeah, swaped the two channels at the 1068 only, and running 5.1.

Ultimately it sounds like it's ready for a trip to the dealer, allthough you could select 7.1 in the speaker set-up menu, (rear centers = 2) check and see if it comes back, and see if it is software/ processor derived or hardware.

          RSP 1068 Trouble
          by mhoyt
          Hi,

I am new to HTGuide so I apologize if this is a re-run of an older thread.

I have a Rotel RSP-1068 that I purchased a few years ago. Its suddenly having a lot of problems. The Front L/R channels are dead and occasionally it appears to just lose sync with the audio source...

          Rotel RSX-1056 VS. RSP-1068 for my B&Ws
          by JimTW
I'm thinking about the 804S for half HT and half stereo music use.

However, I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with these 2 setup
and curious if there are any audible differences in sound quality.

          Setup 1:
          RSX-1056 with RB-1080. 1080 for 2 main fronts....
