    1068 Dolby Digital Downmix to 2ch Output

    Is there anyway to adjust the dynamic range setting for DD 2ch Downmix ... seems the output is equivalent to DD5.1's DYN RANGE "MIN" setting ... awkward when you toggle between the two formats and DD5.1 is MED and even worse when MAX.

    Any clues?

      Check the thread mentioned in the DD & DTS bug message higher up. There's an issue when converting a DTS/DD signal to 4.1 or less. Rotel hits a limit on processing power and you're pretty much going to get a sound with not much dynamics..

          I just got a new Toshiba HD-A3 HD-DVD player, and am noticing an issue with SD discs encoded in Dolby Digital EX - when I advance a track forward (aka chapter skip) the Rotel gets confused and outputs tons of noise.

          Changing inputs on the rotel and back fixes the problem, so the output...

          Guess what Rotel sent me this morning!
          Note that the HD units indicates the newer models running the modified chipsets. If your machine is using these different chipsets please do not flash your firmware unless you've obtained the correct file directly from Rotel.
