Yes, it should have been included in the zip from the website.

Having problems with the Software update on my 1067?

The software program wont go past the first prompt. After press 1 for down load program? I don't get anything after that. The MTTY status message is EV_RLSD and EV_TXEMPTY. MY system is running on windows XP. Is that a problem? Also, does anyone else have hi-noise coming out of there speakers from this receiver. I had a Dennon 4802r and it had no noise at all. I'm starting to wonder about Rotel products!

I did my upgrade with XP and had no prblems. I had and am still having problem with the EPROM. I guess I do not have to have that right now. I have contacted Mike at Rotel to see what is up.

As for the niose. Is it floor niose or hum or buzz?

The Rom update flash utility runs better on a dedicated rs232 port. A few of us had trouble with it running thru a usb/ 232 adaptor. Switched to an older machine with standard serial ports and it worked fine. The comm program for the firmware is not as finikie. Alex, have you mapped it to the valid firmware file?

                  Hi guys,

I upgraded my RSP-1068 yesterday to v1.2.2 without a problem (via WinXP), but I was unable to upgrade the EPROM. I followed Rotel's instruction, but my laptop had problem communicating to the 1068 for the EPROM update. Since I don't have a 7.1 setup, I decieded not to update the EPROM.

My Eprom update went smoothly on my RSP-1068, using Win XP as well. Did you have the unit turned on (not just in Standby) when you attempted the update?

Also, make sure to enter the values listed in step 7 of the Eprom instructions, and ignore the values shown in the screen capture in step 8 (they don't match).
                    Brad

I'm wondering if anyone can help me figure this out.

I'm updating WKHanna's "new" Rotel RSP-1068 with the new firmware and DSP Eprom update.

The DSP Eprom update keeps failing on me, I have the unit powered on in the back and powered on full in the front (per...

RSP-1068 1.2.2 software update and EPROM update - apply which first?
                      by tennberg
                      Hi everyone,

I am hoping I interpreted Rotel's instructions correctly, as I applied the 1.2.2 software update first, set the unit to default factory settings, and then applied the EPROM update second.

Was I correct in doing it this way?

                      Thanks.

I was not able to use the EPROM update program despite my com ports working fine due to a conflict with Microsoft Activesync software used for Pocket PC's. The EPROM program gives the error message "failure to initialize com port".
