Hello Everyone,

Which sounds better with my 1068 & Yamaha's CDC-506 CD player anaolog or optical output?

I did a test to hear the difference. And they sounded the same. So you audio people out there, which one is better?

C'mon -- give the kid a break...

Conventional wisdom suggests the Rotel would have better quality DACs (digital connection), but we all hear differently.

If you genuinely can't tell the difference, use either.

But give it a couple evenings of experimenting back and forth... play music with which you're most familiar... you're likely to start discovering some detail and ambience differences.

Listening to music (and to the equipment as well) is something of a discipline... it requires a little effort... enjoy.
