So what's the going price for a 1098? Can some of you tell us what you paid please.

Although, I don't know how soon I'll do mine. I've got a car purchase (rather lease) coming soon.

The stateside MSRP is $2998 USD I believe and you should be able to get an additional %10 off by just asking. Although since they are in short supply, some dealers may not be willing to go much below that.

Normal dealer, I have been going their for probably 10 years. I think the dealer markup on these things is huge, I know the dealer is still making a good deal of money off me.
edit: Does anyone know the dealer price for the 1098??

I am picking mine up Friday, Retail $4500 cdn, knocked it down to $3900, plus another $900 for my RSP-1066, So a grand total of $3000.

I think it is actually spoken for already, when I arranged things through my sales guy, he told me that another customer was just asking about a used 1066 earlier that day, so it may be already taken. Not surprised though, it was a great piece.

Here's an example of dealer markup. A Rotel 1095 retails for $3000CDN, I paid $1500CDN(18% below cost as per the dealer). So if he's telling the truth his cost was about $1775CDN.
