Has anyone ever listened to both rotel rcd-1072 and music hall cd-25? rcd-1072 is great, but i was wondering how these 2 units compared in term of build quality and sound?

not sure, but I am pretty sure they use the same dacs, but different transport. Stock models I would bet on the 1072. One thing I like about the 1072 is that you cannot hear the disk spin noise-the transport is dead silent. I bet if you were to get a modded mh-25 you could surpass the 1072. Just my guess. I hope someone else chimes in for you. -

I agree that RCD-1072 is quiet and solid. Modded CD-25 is expensive and i am pretty happy with rotel rcd-1072.Comment

I am looking at the spec of Music Hall CD25 . It has Burr-Brown 1732 24-bit/96kHz DAC.
Denon dvd-2200 has Burr-Brown 24-bit, 192-kHz DSD-1791 Audio DACs
Are these DACs from the same company? and Denon has 1791 while Music Hall has 1732 (burr-brown). I assume... -
I have read various reviews from america and the UK on the above mentioned players. Many love the rcd 1072 a few dont, but some that don't like the rcd-02 better. Has anyone compared the 1072 directly to the 02?
I am also considering a moded musical hall, want to buy asap to go with my new speakers.... -

I was very happy with my Rotel RCD-1072 bought a couple months ago until I took it to do A/B testing with a modded old Rotel CDP. The modded unit wins hands down. :T The 1072 sounds very good actually. I had compared it with other models before I made my decision.

I am looking at the AhTojeb4000 or the Music Hall cd25, both modified. I have the M&K 750select system, which some say may be slightly bright. Has anyone listend to both cdp? Price is a issue, I am sure there is some much nicer players, but I need to keep it under 1000.
