My remote has "waiting" on the screen and will not take any imput. The only thing that does anything is the RESET button, it only blanks out the screen but the waiting just comes back.

waiting appears when you are programming the unit and it's waiting for a signal.
Push the little buttons with a pen tip - one of them probably just got stuck in the down position.
(don't have my remote in front of me or I'd speculate which one)

I have tried all of the buttons. The only one that does any thing is the reset, but it just goes back to waiting after I let up on the button.

Hmm, If it's under warranty, I would contact your dealer or rotel for a replacement.
If it's not under warranty, - if it was mine, I'd take it apart and see if something was causing that button to short internally.Comment

Recently, my RR1050 remote has displayed "FRQ DIR" and no buttons work. I tried pressing the reset, preload and clear buttons, but only the reset seems to do anything. The LCD screen flashes, but the same message keeps coming up. Has anyone encountered this? Any suggestions? -
