whew...... I had a little trouble with my password but everythings ok now...... Hey thanks for your interest in my system!!!!!!!!!!! as you already know the heart & soul of any sound system is pure quality &I have that with my rotel combo. My speakers are as follows, Vandersteen 3s for the front channels followed by vandersteen2s for the rear channels & accented by Bose 901 series V1 run in series & suspended from the ceiling on either side of the television for my center channel. The cd player is a Kinergetics KCD-40 platinum from 1991 it may be old but then again so am I. The Kinergetics is a very Smooooth sounding player with lots of detail & no harshness. Next is my Sony SCD-CE775 SACD player entry level but for $120.00 Im not complaining to go with that I recieved a sony progressive scan DVD player with the purchase of my Sony 43 inch hdtv set. It,s the flat screen unit. I can,t begin to say enough positive things regarding Rotel.Anyway, thanks again for your interest. For about 8 years, I have had a pair of Vandersteen 2Ces powered by a Rotel RB-956AX bridged into 3 channels for 100w/c. I have decided to go 2 channel only and am getting rid of the Vandersteen center. I would assume I would hear an improvement in sound with a 2 channel amp as opposed to the Rotel... -
I'm a bit confused on the technical hook up the Vandersteen 2Wq to a Rotel RSX-1065. It seems they do some sort of preamp off load to change the crossover and then back into the integrated amp. The repsonse I got for Vandersteen was:
