    1056 crossover & no sub

I recently purchassed a 1056 and I do not have a sub yet in my setup, I was wondering if it is posible to redirect bass from my center and rear to my floor standing main (which I think will manage bass better)?

Yup just set everything but your mains to small and they'll get all the re-directed bass from the other channels :T

As far I understand, the SUB may not be activated in the speaker settings, to let the specific 5.1 signal re-routed over the main speakers.
      Am I right on this?
With other words: The SUB information which is the .1 part of a 5.1 stream is specifically for the .1 channels and is NOT send to the normal main, center or the surround speakers, unless you tell the system that there is no sub connected.

        B&W ASW-750 or Velodyne DD-12 Sub?
        by beden1
I want to upgrade my sub woofer, and have an ASW-750 for my one set-up with 703's as the main speakers (have center channel but no surrounds). I like this sub as it seems to work well with both music and theater.

For my other home theater set-up (in another house), I wanted to upgrade...

Rotel 1056 or 1058? Help me out here.
        by Tarheel72
My trusty Harman Kardon AVR635 seems to have given up the ghost. I am looking at these two older model Rotel's as potential replacements but think I might have some issues. I currently run all video direct to the display (BR, Cable, xBox) and use digital audio inputs for the cable and xBox and analog...

        2-channel direct on 1056
        by Navin R. Johnso
Setup so far- 1056 with B&W 704s for main, no sub, 1072 as CD source. I've been listening to the CD in the direct bypass mode. I'm looking for a sub and wondering how to integrate this into my music listening. If I use the LFE input for the sub and utilize the 1056 for bass management I couldn't...

        Rotel RSX-1056 VS. RSP-1068 for my B&Ws
        by JimTW
I'm thinking about the 804S for half HT and half stereo music use.

However, I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with these 2 setup
and curious if there are any audible differences in sound quality.

        Setup 1:
        RSX-1056 with RB-1080. 1080 for 2 main fronts....
