I currently own a sunfire preamp tg111 and there 200watt dig amp and to me the sound is a little to laid back (kinda compressed). I heard my speaker at the dealer with a krell setup driving and it sounded great. I wonder if the laid back sound that sunfire gives does't do B&W justice. I guess thats why I don't hear alot of people owning the combo. Anyway I was thinking of going the rotel combo. Do you think it would be worth while?
does anyone use rotel 1095 and 1098 w/ 804B&w

I think you should try out everything in your house in your listening environment. Especially when thinking something sounded a little more "laid back" at a dealer, chances are the acoustics of the room vastly overpowered any difference between the amps (assuming the power rating is the same and neither was being over-driven).- Bottom

I remember running my laid back speakers with a 80w Onkyo it sounded ok but a bit flat and lacked life. When I added the 1095.. WOW. They really popped (good way) That made all the difference in the world. Speakers like a lot of good clean power to sound their best. IMO- Bottom

The sunfire is rated 200x5 and doubles when impedence drops. But even with that rating it sounds a little flat. My dealer is not very fond of leading out amps. I was hoping to hear of 1095 owners being happy with combo on B&W nautilis.- Bottom
