Parasound 7100 vs. Sunfire or Anthem?

I am in the market for a new pre/pro, and am considering (in no particular order) the Parasound 7100, the Sunfire TGIV, and the Anthem AVM-30.

A friend of mine heard the Parasound 7100, and he thought the high end was a little too laid back. Has anyone else thought this?

How does the Anthem and the Sunfire compare to the Paraound?

I have the 7100, 5250, and 2250. I simply love the sound. Everyone's taste and hearing is slightly different so your friend is hearing something that I have not. All I can say is that I HIGHLY recommend the Parasound NewClassic gear. Good luck and enjoy whatever you buy.
