    Inside scoup!

One of the reasons we're the best source of Rotel info on the web is that we've have a very close relationship with Rotel which allows us to get an inside look at what's going on with the company and their products and allows them to get a better view of their user community. Anyway I recently got some interesting photo's of two new Rotel products that were taken during their developement...the 1060 DVD player and the 1098 pre amp. I find it very interesting to see both these wonderful items being tested and built right at the factory in Japan.

      Kevin,

I don't think that's paper, but rather some sort of ribbon probably used in electronics.

      Andrew,

I'd like you to come clean here. You disappeared for a short while under the guise of visiting your parents. Come on!!! I bet you visited the Japanese plant and snuck in one of the micro cameras and snapped a few pictures. You are just so lucky they didn't catch you.

Keith unfortunatly I have not been in Japan in over 10 years...though I would love a tour of the plant out there.

          Andrew,

Welcome back! I sent the RSP-1098 pics to you, I guess the files were a bit large, sorry about that.

Very nice pics of the plant processes.

Just a quick thought, I believe Rotel should send you to the manufacturing plant (all expenses paid of course), since you are the direct link for the forum .

          Any thoughts?

Yeah since I was on dial up at that time it was a bit of a pain No problem I was able to get them when I got back to my DSL account.

The pictures you sent me were hosted by someone else were they not? If not I'll get them online tonight.

                    Andrew,

Well, if they won't send you to Japan, how about seeing if they will give you a component to give away on the forum  Not necessarily a 1098 (which would be nice) but maybe a DVD or a CD player.

Pitch it as a reward for all the great work everyone has done here.

                          Keven,

LOL!!! No, you're, without doubt, right here. I was looking at another picture. For the life of me, I never noticed that pile even when I looked at that picture. Pretty scary.

Yes Andrew, Scarp hosted the 1098 pics on the 1098 owners review thread.

                              Thanks,

The stacks of paper aren't that bad ... not compared to my desk anyway ... ops:

But did you see the heavy duty, high-end, full range speakers that he seems to use with the 1098?
