RSX-1055 and headphones???

Hi...(again)

I'm actually planning on getting a pair of headphones for my late night listening (live in a condo) and I would like them wireless.

Are they good the wireless? or is there a lot of interference...

And also, can you use a headphone with the RSX-1055?? there is no headphone plug on the unit...am I missing something? or is it someting Rotel overlooked?

You will need a Headphone pre-amp with the 1055.

I could not find any good wireless headphones when I was looking.
I went with Grado SR125's and love them. Just put on a good quality extension cord.

what are the good ones? Grado Labs makes a nice one. Creek is another.

"does the pre-amp comes with the wireless headphones?" Now that I think about it. Wireless Headphones are setup to accept line level inputs. So you may not need a pre-amp going the wireless route depending on the maker. Someone please jump in here if I am out of line.

I'm not an expert...and I certainly don't have a golden ear. However, to be honest, I've never heard a succesful imiplementation of wireless headphones for music. I haven't tried them with HT.

Here's a great resource for information about headphones. The company also makes a variety of headphone amps. They carry the two "dominant" brands of high end headphones (Grado and Sennheiser).

Here is how they suggest hooking up headphones.

The best place to get a signal for your headphone amp is from the record output of your surround receiver. If you want the headphone amp to be adjusted with the remote control, you'll have to use a spare pre-amp output. You can also use a splitter on the line output of your VCR or a second line output, if it has one
