    1068 Pre-Outs Touching?

Hello Everyone! New to Club Rotel…and it’s Fantastic!

This is my 1st HT system setup and I am needing some HELP!

    I’m setting up a 1068 & 1075

    Attached to:
    Dali Suit 3.5 FL/FR
    Dali Centre
    Dali RR/LR
    M&K V75MkII Sub

    See pic below.

    Question.

The Interconnects from 1068 to 1075. When connecting to Processor 1068 (Pre-Outs), the connections on the cables get awfully close! So close that I can’t tell it they are touching! They sure don't feel like they are insulated!

Hooked this up and reluctantly turn the power on. No problems.

Anyone else had this problem? The interconnects are Interdyn’s (International Dynamics – Only Australian importer of Rotel). Would they be insulated from each other?

They don't need to be, if you were to take an ohm meter and check the outer contacts of the inputs you would find they are all common, the inner conductor is a whole different story.

Like Soundhound said, the outer conductor is the signal ground, and is tied together on all the outputs and inputs, so the barrels touching is harmless.

          1068 PreOuts?
          by SpOoNmAn
I was looking at the back panel of the 1068, and noticed for Preouts, it has C1 and C2. I know these are for the center channels, but does the preout for C2 have a signal present, the same one as the C1? If so, I'd like to do some experimenting Does the same go for the Sub 2 preout?

RSP-1068 standby mode & optical input glitches

I upgraded my hifi gears to Rotels in June. The RSP-1068 was an obvious choice and tested it with RMB-1075 amp too. However the RMB-1075 and my speaker setup (Amphion Argon 2) didn't bring the same feel of sensation as Genelec active speakers, so my RSP-1068 is now connected to a nice set of Genelec...

[This is a long post, but it may be helpful to others that may have to deal with similar problems....]

I upgraded from a Denon AVR-2700 receiver to the Outlaw Audio 755 amplifier+Rotel RSP-1068 in that order, in two steps, about 6 months apart. When the Outlaw amplifer showed up with...

New gear (1068+1075), too stupid to get any sound?
          by Kyle
Trying to setup my 1068 and 1075. Have my interconnects going from the preouts on the 1068 into the 1075 and the 1075 is on (with no protection lights lit).

No matter what type of source i try (analog w/ an ipod, optical with my dvd player), I can't seem to get a peep out of the speakers....

I have a 1068 w/ Parasound 2205 amp. The speakers pop / thud and then there is no sound. I then turn off the 1068 and immidiately turn it back on and the sound is back. I have already checked the following
          1. Cables are good and not touching
          2. Turned off triggers to be sure it was...
