    1068 pop's then no sound.......HELP?

I have a 1068 w/ Parasound 2205 amp. The speakers pop / thud and then there is no sound. I then turn off the 1068 and immidiately turn it back on and the sound is back. I have already checked the following
    1. Cables are good and not touching
    2. Turned off triggers to be sure it was the 1068 when the sound went away.
    3. Honestly I have checked everything.

A little frustrated becuase last year the center channel went down at the Holiday
    Sound familiar to anyone?

Has it only done this one time or has it done it multiple times?

Could have been a power surge or something strange that caused it...

If you weren't moving wires at the time, it's possible something touched and shorted the connection, but more unlikely. I know I have a ground issue somewhere with one of my cables because my back right speaker pops whenever a relay in my 1098 switches. It's a minor annoyance, but I think it's one of my Cat Cables.

I just spoke with Mike @ Rotel and I will be sending it in to them. He thinks it is a bad relay.

      Thanks for the help.

PS. The service from Rotel and particulairly Mike, has always been tremendous. I whish I could say the same about my local dealer. That is the reason I will be sending it to Rotel.

      MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Can't agree more Tim, Mike is very helpful. I wish I could send my equipment directly to Rotel everytime I ran into a problem

              RSP-1068 12 volt trigger confusion
              by BillGee
I picked up my brand new RSP-1068 Saturday, replacing an old RTC-970. In the process of hooking everything up, i discovered there are no power outlets on the back of the 1068, so I had no way to trigger my RLC-900 to turn on/off. A quick trip to Radio Shack and 15 minutes with a soldering iron got...

I've got a problematic 1068 that has already been to rotel once for relay problems. Initial problem was a bad output switching relay. came back working fine or so I thought.
I am beginning to experience worsening intermittent left channel analog input drop. i.e. the left channel just goes dead...

              1068 and Rotel problems
              by Steve_the_Hokie
I bought a 1068 used that was only a month old. The original owner thought it was too difficult for some of the family members to operate, which I didn't really find to be true at all. Anyway, I had the unit sitting around the house for a month in the box while I was deciding what 5-channel amplifier...

Rotel 1068 Initial impressions vs. Lexicon DC-1
              by spkerguy
              Hello everyone,

I just hooked the 1068 up last Friday and probably have spent a good 10 hours with it so far. The unit I was coming from was a lexicon DC-1 (latest V4. 1999) that had the center channel and sub inputs blown so getting the center and sub back was refreshing. ...

              Hi all,

I'm a new member of the Rotel gang. Got my new processor a couple of weeks ago, a 1068, but I'm having a few problems with it. Anyone else here relate to these ?

Issues are (in increasing order of annoyance):

              1) video out stuck on NTSC - there is...
