    1066 turned it self on

Tuesday night, we had a big storm and lost power. When I went down my basement the next morning. My 1066 was on, it was off. Why did this happen?

If it was suspended (not really turned off, the red diode is shining) it should be fully back on again if the power was out during the night. If it was completely turned off (power button on the RSP 1066 was off) you probably have leprechauns messing with your head ...

      Aero993,

The same thing happen to me, and I asked did someone turn on my equipment.

Check your power settings, I recall somewhere in the manual that if you suffer from electrical storms and have frequent power outages, you may want to change your power settings.

Perhaps other members can provide more specifics (my memory is not what is used to be).

      Hope this helps,

      Arman

I too noticed that after a power outage my 1066 comes on. I figured it has to do with being in standby mode all of the time. It's plugged into a surge protector so I would hope that would prevent damage.

        Anyone else have any thoughts?

        Bill

Bill, just FYI, there are no "real" guarantees with surge protection. Spikes can still go through them and take out your equipment. Always best to unplug during electrical storms for prevention.

On my RSX-1055, either on stanby or running, the diode is blue?

                1066 and Zone 2 question
                by Mark_C.
Something I haven't been able to discover through owner's manual or internet forums: I know that if Zone 2 is on, and the 1066 main power is turned off, Zone 2 remains active (the display shows "zone''.)
But what if all sources are turned off, including the souce to Zone 2; is Zone 2 still...

                Hey All,

New to the forum and glad to find what looks like a very knowledgable community to bounce questions off of.

I have a brand new out of the box 1066 that had rev. 1.1.5-something and found that there was rev. 1.1.7. So I followed all of the instructions on Rotel's...

I followed all the instructions to a tee, everything went as was supposed to (using an old laptop with serial port and Windows 95), and according to the downloading instruction, my 1066 should power up. But it won't. It's dead as a doornail. I have downloaded three times, and each time everything appears...

Perhaps this question has been answered before but I haven't been able to find a specific answer from someone who has actually done what I am planning.

I have a stellar 2 channel setup with a Linn 5103 preamp, Linn Klout amp and a pair of Keilidh speakers running off various sources....

I received my brand spanking new 1066 in silver yesterday and have spent a few hours setting up and calibrating the unit. My question is how do I find out the software version that's installed in this puppy? I searched here but couldn't locate the answer. This is a new unit that came to my dealer in...
