Rotel rcd 1072 vrs Rcd 02 vrs Modded Music Hall or arcam 73t

I have read various reviews from america and the UK on the above mentioned players. Many love the rcd 1072 a few dont, but some that don't like the rcd-02 better. Has anyone compared the 1072 directly to the 02?
I am also considering a moded musical hall, want to buy asap to go with my new speakers. Please help a brother out.

Matt, the reason people like the 1072 more than the 02 is becasue it's a better player. The 02 was never their flag ship cd player in the past Rotel designs. The 1072 is their newest design and their flagship player. I now own a 1072 and love it.

One note though, buy some good interrconnects. When going with a lessor interconnect ($50) I found the 1072 it lost it's magic. The 1072 has wonderful detail and presentation. You just have to give it a chance to prove it.

Matt,I don't have any experience with Arcam players. I only know the Arcam 73 does not decode HDCD and the Rotel does. In my book, not a big deal. The only way you will know is to listen to both models on similar or same systems.

Does your dealer carry both Rotel and Arcam? If so, I would ask them to borrow both units before you decide. Most dealers will allow you to do so. Alot encourage it.

I Auditioned the 1072 and the cd73t side by side. Both are excellent players. The arcam seemed slightly smoother, the Rotel's presentation seemed to have slightly more detail and attack. I came home with the 1072, but it is purely a preferance thing. Listen to both and buy what you like best.

              RCC-1055, RCD-1072, RCD-02 and RCD-06 - what the difference?
              by audiojunky
Rotel seems to have quite a few CD player and I'm having a hard time understanding the difference between them.

Is there a difference between the RCC-1055 and the RCD-1072 (except for the fact that RCC is a 5 disk changer)? I mean is there a difference in quality?

              RCD 1072 vs RCD 1070
              by steveB
Does anyone know if there is much difference between these 2 units?
with the release of the 1072 there may be some good deals to be had with the 1070. On the flipside , if the 1072 is better the $$ may not count.

              Any views?

              Thanks

              Rotel RCD-1072 vs. RCD-02
              by Atorak
I tried to find a recent 'vs.' match between the two of these, but I have been a little unsuccessful.

Currently, I have B&W N804s using Monster MCX-1 (i think) cables to a Rotel RMB-1075 and an Onkyo Integra DTR 6.3 (using the receiver as the processor, which will be upgraded to the...
