    Problem with RDV-1060 when controlled by RS232

    HI

    I would be very interested to hear if any one who has a RDV-1060 controlled via RS232, are having problems with the unit display and control locking up or all the illumination going out, yet the unit will still work via 232. I have set up some soak tests with my own unit and also a unit borrowed for a mate and in both cases the same faults showed themselves.

    If any one has any of these problems, or any other problems with 232 on an RDV-1060 I would love to know.

      I'm having a hard time trying to figure out RS232 control of a 1055. I'm using a third party control system and this is one of my largest programming jobs so far. Previous systems have been through IR or straight RS232 ASCII strings. Really two questions.

      i was surprised to find so little about the rs232 port searching the forum. are most people not trying to use their computers to control their equipment? it seems more and more people are using htpcs so i thought there would be more interest in controlling the stereo equipment via computer as well....
