I'm not familiar with your DVD, but my guess is the 1068 has superior DACs, so stick with the coax.

Listen to it both on a digital connection and the analog cables and pick which one sounds best to you. The easiest way to do that is to use two inputs (CD and Video 3 etc) and then assign one to the analog cables and one to the digital...that way you can simply flip between the two and pick which sounds best to you.

          1098 Analog Audio Weirdness

          Hey Guys-

I have a JVC HM-DH30000H D-VHS VCR on Video 4 connected via component video 4, optical audio 2, and the analog audio/video 4 inputs. Everything works as expected when playing D-Theater HDTV video tapes (except for no video on the 1098 screen). The JVC will not pass an analog...

DVD player peaking when in analog - help
          by audioqueso
I have my Pioneer connected to my Marantz with a digitcal coax cable and analog pair. Movie or music, playing through the digital coax the Marantz controls the decoding so it never peaks. I like using the analog connection cause the coax sounds a little thin, but if I turn it moderately high, my receiver...

Is it a good Idea to make RCA Cables out of RG6 Coax
          by HereticPB
I have just recently found out that you can create RCA Cables out of Cable Coax. I was wondering if it is a good idea to do this or not.

What companies make the best coax and rca connectors? The Best sheilding? What type of Coax? If RG6 Analog Video or Digital video Coax?

Help: Output for a second zone
          by stugrief
My apologies in advance for a long question:

I have a C1/A21/A51 set up for HT in my family room. I also have an integrated "house" amp that drives another 5 pairs of speakers around the house. I currently have the zone output of the C1 connected to the house amp's Aux input....

Rotel Analog vs. Optical w/ Denon 1600
          by aud19
I'm mostly looking for an answer from Andrew (or anyone else for that matter with Rotel gear and a Denon 1600 DVD player) but other opinions etc are welcome

The Denon 1600 only has an optical output (no coax ) for a digital connection. As such I'm wondering what people have preffered...
