    About RMB 1075

    Hi guys,

    3 simple questions about 1075

    1. Does 1075 support bridged mode? and how do i bridge it?
    2. Is the power in 1075 enough to do B&W 805 justice? (in bridged or not bridged mode)
    3. Or is the 7-series of B&W the right way to go with a 1075?

    1. Don't think so... but I'm not sure
2 & 3. Well, I asked myself (and others) exactly that question about half a year ago. Eventually I decided to go with 705s (and HTM7) instead of 805 (and HTM2). Mainly because I didn't find there to be such a big difference in performance, especially not on a RMB-1075... Word is the 805 should be driven by something superior to a RMB-1075 in order to make them sing...

    All I know now is that I'm very pleased with my 1068 / 1075 / 705 / HTM7 combo! It is something more than I could have hoped for back when I had a Marantz 5200 / 602 S3 / LCR60 S3 combination...

    Good Luck!

The RMB 1075 does not support bridge mode. I would suggest going to a deal and listen to both spekaer. Everyone taste is different you may like the 805 over the 705.

      Good Luck

If you don't hurry, your speaker choice might get made for you, the new 805's and HTM4 made be out of your price range..

          Thanks for your answers.

          What is "HTM7" / "HTM2" / "HTM4"?

They are B&W's center channel speakers.

              Rmb 1075

              Hi,

I have the chance to get 803 for a very cheap price to starting up with my new home cinema setup.
I'm currently using a RMB1075 in my infinity speaker environment.

As I've read about 805's and minimum usage of RMB 1095 I'm wondering if willl make the right decision to go for 803's in front, 805"s rear and the smalles HTM for center (cost issue).

Is it that worse not using amps with more than 120 wpc ?

              Thanks for your postings!
