Have a friend help you do a blind test of different cables. If you can correctly identify a cable and its sonic signature a statistically significant amount of times, then yes, you really hear a difference. If not, then no.- Bottom

I am currently using Cobaltcable's Ultimate speaker cable for my fronts and center. Can't really tell whether I could hear a difference since I never A/B tested them against other cables. Personally, I really don't think speaker cables will make that much of a difference in sound quality (unless you are using truly low quality cables right now).
All I can say about these cables is that they are well-made.Last edited by nyny; 08 December 2004, 22:58 Wednesday.Tony- Bottom

I have some Cobalt cable and I bought some belden speaker cable from blue jeans cable...
The only difference I could tell, is that the cobalt cable is a lot nicer looking... The Belden cable is just two wires wrapped in a outer gray casing...

Otherwise, they sounded exactly the same (both are 10 guage copper wires)... To me, I wouldn't put the money out for the cobalt cables....but that's just me. However, I love thier RCA Y cables, great for the price you can get them at.
Digital Audio makes me Happy.

One run 2m, the other run 3m. Locking bananas at the amp & bare wire tinned for the speaker. They don't have a big enough...-

by theMaximusAre cables that claim to be "made specially for subwoofers" different than regular analog RCA cables or digital coax? Only difference that I can see is that some of the subwoofer cables use solid core as opposed to multiple copper strands used in regular analog or digital interconnects. ...-

by audiofreak7Sorry fellas, but I had to get your attention somehow. I am very confused lately about some of the threads regarding speaker cables. Before I start, I will say that I use a major brand sold in any A/V store. Only because at the time I bought into the whole hype (you've all heard it before) Well gee...-

I just received (TODAY) this Onkyo HT-S3200 and I'll hook it there. But in some months I'll take it to my home where I have a 32" LCD and a hi-def dvd player with hdmi jack.
