They look very well made at an attractive price. I was just curious if any one is using them & if you could share your thoughts. I am looking at their Ultimate speaker cable. One run 2m, the other run 3m. Locking bananas at the amp & bare wire tinned for the speaker. They don't have a big enough spade (5/8 needed) for the speaker connection, hence the tinned bare wire. I am using a pair of jumpers that are using bananas already.
Cobalt cables...any opinions?

First off, just a friendly reminder about the forum's cable post guideline's
Second, if you're looking for good quality, affordable cables, I HIGHLY recommend forum sponsor CAT Cables (link's at the bottom of the page). You get well built, good sounding cables for a good price and you get to help support the forum at the same time! :T
One other thing....I hate to be nitpicky but also as per forum rules can you please remove your equipment list from your sig as it clutters threads and also screws with the forum's search engine? I see you've already got it listed in the appropriate profile space as well anyway :TJason- Bottom

Looks like somebodies feathers got ruffled. :W I thought it was a rather straight forward question & was not intended to start a commotion. Can one only ask a question in regards to Catcables? If so, then I apologize.- Bottom

by John22614Curious how many of you use bare speaker wire connections and how you deal with wire corrosion. I just replaced my speaker wires using 10 gage 8 foot runs with bare connections to both my amp and speakers and it sounds really good. How often do you think I need to cut back the wire to deal with corrosion?...-

by corysmith01I just ordered some terminated speaker wire today. I upped the gauge to go thicker than I'm currently running and thought "what the hey, banana connectors would be a nice touch." My instruction manual for the 601's says this:
"The terminals accept 6mm (1/4-in) spades, bared...-

by kinjiteHi,
This is my first post on the Rotel forum. Great forum btw!
I am considering a RMB-1095 or a combination of a RB-1080 for my front JMLab Cobalt 820 speakers, a RB-1070 for my Cobalt 806 surrounds and a RB-1070 for my Cobalt CC800 center speaker, with one channel left...-
