Kind of OT, but requesting some help

Since the majority of you all here have AMAZING setups for your HT, and I started a Home theater business here in Arizona, I'm looking to put some Home theaters on my website. I was wondering if anyone that has a picture in the sticky up top would mine me using their pics? I won't be claiming to have created that theater, just to show what I CAN do for my customers.

Is that sound ok? If not totally understandable. Thanks in advance.

P.S. Rotel related info, I should have my RMB 1095 TOMORROW!!!!! I can't wait any longer!!!!!!!!!!!

Scott if I had my home theater room built, I'd let you have some pictures of it! I'll try my hardest to get it finished up and when I do, I'll send you some pics.

Besides got to show off the Rotel/B&W/SVS goodness. ha ha.

I could take some shots of the dedicated theater in the spec home I recently completed. All the equipment (except the screen and PJ) is hidden however. If you want I can send you photo's of my Rotel stack and my PB2+. I also believe there is a shot of one of my theaters on Acoustic Innovations web site:

that they may let me use. By the way, they are good people for you to be in contact with because they sell seating packages and acoustical control packages for installation by theater installers.

Congratulations and good luck on your new business endeavor!

You can post mine. It's not much, but it's a good starter system. Let us know how things go with the infamous HUM when you get your RMB-1095.

I doubt you will have any hum. You may be initially disappointed in the sound of the 1095. Just don't dispair with about 30-40 hours use it will burn in...open up and become the beast it really is!

I hope not, hum would suck And why would I be dissapointed? Going from a Pioneer Elite receiver to a seperate amp "should" be beneficial correct? Does the amp intially sound dull or something?

I believe a lot of people say it sounds "thin" or "lacks bass" until it breaks in after the ~50hrs marker...

But, you are correct that you should intially notice a difference (on the plus side) when you connect everything up. I for one am one waiting to see what you think! :T

Yes it does seem thin and somewhat lifeless at first. My 1075 and 1080 did the same thing. Some call this burn in but the real reason, technically speaking it has to do with the large capacitors in the power supply and output stage "forming". Forming is a process by which a capacitor gradually comes up to it's rated values from repeated cycles of charging and discharging. This takes some time. As the capacitors "form" the dynamics of the amp will steadily and consitently improve.

If you want to witness this in action, in a quantifiable way, take an old camera with a built in flash that hasn't been used for awhile. Throw in some fresh batteries and time how long it takes for the flash ready light to come on. Shoot it off and repeat 40 or 50 times. Then add new fresh batteries and time it again. The difference will be very noticable. What is not so noticable is the fact that the light output of the flash will have increased also. Capacitors in a flash and in an amp serve similar functions, they store energy ready to be released when a trigger signal appears. Like the flash, your amp will get faster and more dynamic (greater peak output) with use.

Thanks for the info guys, I will see if I notice the difference during break-in.

Get this guys, I got the Rotel today, delivered perfectly, no dents, etc in the box. I also ordered IXOS interconnects to hook it up, but when they delivered the amp, there aren't any interconnects! I called the dealer and they checked and sure enough the interconnects are sitting there, NICE!

SO, I have an amp and no way to listen to it! I may be able to round up some crappy interconnects to get this thing running until I can get new ones. I can get Monster Cable Ultra Series THX® 1000 Audio Interconnects through my business for a decent price, but won't be able to get them until Friday maybe. Since they are closed tomorrow, this sucks!

What do you all think about those Interconnects?? Do those Monster Cable ones work well?

Damn I am frustrated right now, I wanted to get this all done and setup, now I will have to rig it up, calibrate it, and most likely recalibrate it when I install the good interconnects.

                          BLAH!

Monsters will be ok for a few days. Another alternative...Radio Shack's gold series are decent, and they are open till 9PM. Did you open the 1095? I don't remember if it is the Rotel processors that come with el basico RCA interconnects or the AMPs...one or the other. How about the cheapies that came with your DVD player and CD player...did you keep them? Can you find them?
